PARTICIPANTS AT THE GC26
Subject: Information regarding organisational matters for the GC26
Dear Chapter Members,
I am sending you some practical and organisational information, which I think will be the last, which those in charge of the logistics for the GC26 have given me.
It would be useful if each Chapter member brought his own portable computer. For those who do not have one, in the GC26 Secretariat some computers are available for common use and also 4 printers on the network. Regarding computer services and the Chapter you can find technical information on the homepage of the GC26 site, the link for which is on the sdb.org site. When you arrive in Rome, to resolve any problems you may have, a technician and some confreres from the Generalate will be available.
Those who come to Rome before the pilgrimage will be able to collect an alb from Fr Stefano Bolkovac at the Generalate for liturgical celebrations; they should take it with them to Turin. Those who go directly to Turin by their own transport do not need to take an alb; on their arrival in Turin they should go to Fr Sergio Pellini, Rector of the Basilica of Mary Help of Christians; he will provide them with an alb to use for the three days of the pilgrimage.
To ensure that the laundry arrangements work well and that you are able to collect your own clean things easily, it would be well for them to be marked with your surname. In case this is not possible they should have some clear marking that can be identified; in this case, and to clarify any doubts you can contact Fr Saimy.
Those who might have special needs during the course of the Chapter, for example with regard to food or anything else, can let Fr Saimy know now what this might be. His e-mail address is: sezhanikatt@sdb.org
When you arrive at the airport there will be a confrere from the Generalate waiting to collect you with a car. He will be carrying a placard with a picture of Don Bosco and CG26 on it. In case of any unforeseen problems or delays, you can phone the switchboard at the “Salesianum” Reception on number 06 - 65.87.51 or that of the Generalate on number 06 - 65.61.21.
