Subject: The Cost of participation in the GC26
Dear Chapter Members,
While wishing you a Happy New Year for 2008, I am writing about the cost of participation in the GC26.
1. Having considered all the expenses involved in organising the GC26, in the General Council it has been decided that for each participant the cost will be 2,500 Euro. This also applies to the Observers invited by the Rector Major.
2. The cost will be reduced to 2,400 Euro for those who pay before February 2008, sending the money to the Economer General’s Office.
3. For those who pay when they arrive in Rome, the money should be paid in cash or by cheque made out directly to the “Salesianum”.
4. In both cases mentioned in number 2 and 3, money currently deposited with the Economer General’s Office cannot be used.
5. In a spirit of solidarity it is suggested that those Provinces with the available funds should make an offering to the Rector Major through the Economer General’s Office to pay the Chapter expenses of those Provinces that might find themselves in difficulty.
