PROVINCES WHICH USE ENGLISH IN THEIR APPOINTMENTS OF PERSONNEL AT COMMUNITY LEVEL - USE OF 'ECONOMER'

 

South Asia: 12 English-speaking – INB, INC, IND, ING, INH, INK, INM, INN, INT, INP, LKC, MYM.  Of these, only INC, uses ‘economer’.  The rest use ‘administrator’ for the role held in the community by a priest or brother.  Unsure what MYM uses, so leave them out of the calculation for the moment

 

East Asia-Oceania: 6 english-speaking -  AUL, (VIE), (KOR), (GIA), CIN, THA, FIN, FIS, ITM

Of these, FIN, FIS, THA and CIN use ‘economer’ at local level.  AUL uses ‘bursar’.  KOR, VIE and GIA use their own language so the question does not apply..

 

North Europe: 2 English speaking -  GBR, IRL/Malta, use ‘bursar’.

 

Africa: 3 English-speaking - AFM, AET, AFE are English speaking units:  AET uses ‘economer’, the others ‘bursar’.

 

Interamerica: 3 English-speaking – SUO, SUE, CAN  None use ‘economer’.  They use either treasurer or financial(finances) administrator, usually the latter.

 

Of 25 known units, 7 use economer’., 10 use ‘administrator’, 5 use ‘bursar’ and 3 use either financial administrator or treasurer.
