Dear Friends,
150 years ago, Don Bosco, moved by the fire of the Gospel and the cry of young people, sent the first missionary expedition to Argentina, not with riches, but with burning hearts. That
humble departure from Valdocco marked the beginning of a global dream: a Salesian presence on distant frontiers, a presence that brought hope.
Today, we are heirs to that prophetic courage. The same Spirit that drove Don Bosco to send his sons to the ends of the earth now calls us too, not simply to go further, but to go deeper: into the wounds of the world, into the lives of abandoned young people, and into the very heart of humanity in search of meaning.
We are not celebrating past glory. We are rekindling a living fire. This Jubilee is an invitation to rekindle missionary audacity, to overcome comfort, and to repeat with new ardour: "Da mihi animas", wherever young people await us.
Under Mary's mantle, we find the courage to dream without boundaries and to live the mission with generous hearts, wherever we are.
