Youth Forum 2010
The Salesians of Bombo, Uganda, ran a Youth Forum from December 17 to 19 2010. The Forum brought together young people from three countries forming the Province of AGL.
The Forum, which now has become a tradition in the province, had as its theme this year: "Come and See". This is obviously an advantage to reflection on the Rector Major's Strenna presented to the Salesian Family on December 31. Young People of Burundi with the Fr Jean Marie Mushibwe, and Fr Henry began arriving from Thursday, December 16, 2010.
Those from Rwanda arrived in the evening of Friday, December 17, while those from Uganda arrived on Friday morning to put everything in place for the welcome. Everything began with the Good Night that same evening of 17 December. The next program began the day's activities with a conference on the Saturday morning on the theme, followed by a Eucharistic celebration. In the afternoon there was group work.
The evening concluded with a session of cultural activities where each of the Salesian provinces, except the novitiate and the provincial house that were not represented, had ten minutes to go on stage and brighten up the evening. The next day began with the Eucharistic celebration with the faithful from the Salesian parish at Bombo.
In late morning the youth had the second conference. In the afternoon after a time of sharing, young people were entitled to some free time to relax and explore the local scene. Monday morning they began leaving for their country of origin.
